Movie Themed Running Workout
This is a great beginners workout for clients who are just starting out with running. Move around the group and correct running technique as they perform laps of an oval (or running track). They will fairly worn out from the run. The Longest Yard drill will simply be icing on the cake.
Benches and Squats Circuits
This four part workout requires a bench or a low wall that clients can step on.
100, 200, 300 (Team Challenge)
This workout is another spin on the old 300 rep scheme which were popular after the ‘300’ movie came out.
Strength Drill Circuit
This four station circuit works best with small teams on each station.
Team E3MOM
EMOM stands for Every Minute On the Minute. It means that a round of exercises starts each minute. E3MOM means Every 3 Minutes On the Minute mark. This workout requires teams to complete a drill every 3 minutes.
Complex Sprints
This workout blends conditioning work with high powered sprints. It requires lots of intensity and lots of rest.
Partner Strength Ladders
This workout is a simple strength workout done in pairs. Don’t let the low reps fool you, this workout is tough!
8 Station Running Circuit
This is about as basic as circuit workouts come. However one little tweak to how campers change stations plus regular and advanced reps means it works for all levels and makes a great workout.
300 Team Workout
This bodyweight workout required teams of 6 to complete 300 reps of each exercise. It works out to be about 50 reps for each person of 10 different exercises.
Plank and Push Up Finisher
This bodyweight finisher uses only plank and push ups and gets harder each round.
Do It Twice
This is the kind of workout where you just need to explain it once at the start of the workout and then unleash your clients on it (provided you have a whiteboard for clients to refer to). This leaves you to actually coach your clients and motivate them, rather then explaining and demonstrating the next thing.
Three Challenge Team Workout
This workout has a bit of everything in it, strength, cardio and crosstraining. It’s a great one to use when you are training a new group and unsure of their fitness levels.
Tabata Sprints
I’ve put together this workout that gives your clients plenty of sprints while in a challenging workout environment. This will keep them focused on what they are doing rather than allowing their minds to wander.
Tyred Of Ropes
Got some tyres (tires) and ropes lying around? Set up this series of drills for your clients to complete in teams. An awesome self-paced workout.
Dumbbell Decathlon
A Decathlon is an Olympic event which involves 10 track and field events. In this workout we are going to complete 10 different strength exercises.
HAMRAP
The ‘H’ in this workout stands for Hills, an essential part of any good bootcamp location.
Hill Circuits
A workout using a hill in your park to add some variety to normal bodyweight circuit ideas. Suitable for different fitness levels.
5x5x5
Training low rep strength is challenging when all you have is some light weights and body weight exercises to use. I like to tackle this problem with some low rep, sub-maximal training. This workout is suitable for groups with different fitness levels.
As Many As Possible
This workout is a combination of a Chipper and an AMRAP completed in teams for that signature bootcamp feel. Suitable for all fitness levels and mixed fitness level groups.
Inverted Chipper
A Chipper workout involves ‘chipping’ away at a list of exercises. Participants chip away until all repetitions are done.
