Start Here
Hello and welcome Crafter!
(Crafters are what we call each other around here, you’ll get used to it soon.)
My name is Kyle Wood, I’m the creator of BootCraft and this page is to help you get started planning amazing workouts quickly.
Take a few minutes to read through the steps below so that you can get the most out of your investment.
Step 1: Complete this Mini Course
If you don’t have much experience planning group fitness/bootcamp workouts already, you’ll want to start with Step 1 as I’ll show you how I planned sought after sessions for 5-25 clients at a time.
Start with Step 1 too if you’ve been training people for a while but want to get better at planning and structuring your workouts.
If you’re already pretty happy with your planning skills and just need ideas, skip to Step 2.
How to Create Amazing Group Fitness Workouts
- Lesson 1: How to schedule your workouts
- Lesson 2: Ensuring you keep plenty of variety
- Lesson 3: How to plan out each workout (quickly and confidently)
Step 2: How BootCraft Works
(aka These Are Not The Drills You Are Looking For)
Once you’re up to speed with how to plan workouts, you’ll need some drills. Here’s how to use your Dashboard.
New & Updates:
This section is where we post our monthly updates. You’ll also find buttons to quickly access your Saved Drills (more on that shortly) and your Account where you can check your subscriptions, download receipts and update your credit card.
The Search Box:
This is what you saw me use in Lesson 3 and is the key power of BootCraft. Select the check boxes that fit the workout you are looking for and then hit search to see the BootCraft drills that match.
New & Featured:
In these three columns you’ll find:
- The most recently added drills to BootCraft
- The drills that have been looked at the most over the past week
- A selection of featured drills for the month (check the monthly update to find out more)
Step 3: Join our Crafter Community
The fun doesn’t have to stop when you’re not searching for drills on BootCraft. Our community of active members is the place to seek advice, feedback and to see what other trainers are planning with BootCraft. You’ll find the link to the Community on the menu on your BootCraft dashboard.
Step 4: The other stuff: Workout Plans, Downloads and Saved Drills
When you’re viewing a workout you’ll see a button like this in the top corner:
This button saves the drill to your account so you can find it easily again later. Just go to My Saved Drills to see the drills you’ve saved. Think of it like a wishlist on a shopping website.
Workout Plans are some suggested programs that we’ve planned and used ourselves. You can use them right away in your sessions.
The Downloads page is where you’ll find some bonus PDFs that we’ve put together for you.
Step 5: Our favourite drills
Not sure what you’re looking for on BootCraft yet?
I highly recommend Step 1 to help you work this out.
Otherwise, try the monthly featured drills on the Dashboard (column of drills in green on the right) or check out the most popular drills of 2017, 2018 or 2019.
Step 6: Getting help
The last thing I want to let you know is that if you’re stuck, there is always help at hand.
If you need help with a drill: Just leave a comment in the comments section below the drill and myself or the community will get back to you.
If you need help with your account: Use the little green talk bubble in the lower left of your screen to contact us.
If you want advice on planning your sessions or for things like finding new clients: Join our ‘Crafters Community.
I hope you love it here!
